I've been a sign-making fool lately! It's so much fun, super easy, and pretty darn rewarding in the end. I love it so much that I thought I'd share:

Supplies:
Desired size of either canvas or wood
Acrylic Paint
Paint Brush
Alphabet Stickers
(These have to be pretty large and can easily be found in your local craft store - most likely with the scrapbooking stuff) I have also spotted them at Walmart!
Step One: Apply stickers onto the canvas spelling out anything you would like.. This could be really cute in a baby's room, bathroom, really the possibilities are endless. You should be able to peel them on and off the canvas if you need to move them around..

Step Two: Paint the entire canvas in whichever color you choose! You will be painting OVER the stickers, so it is very important to press those stickers into the canvas pretty good when you have come up with a good layout -- you don't really want the paint to sneak under those stickers!
Step Three: Listen to some relaxing music, color with your kids, eat a brownie and then return to your canvas when it's dry.. (maybe an hour?)

Step Four: (my favorite part) Gently peel away the stickers to see your message! Also important to keep a slightly damp paper towel handy - as some paint may have slipped under a sticker or two, and it can be dabbed up easily.
*I also used the eraser from a pencil and painted a few circles on my canvas to add a little something extra.. not necessary, but pretty adorable right?

Here are a few other examples of the signs that I've made using this technique. I love EACH ONE!!!

(This sign was an experiment with newspaper/modge podge) It turned out nice, but was a little bit more time-consuming than the others, and Hey, I have a two year old here. ;)
